 ** Re-opening update - FROM Tuesday 16th June**

We'll be open for 'CLICK AND COLLECT' and QUICK PURCHASES on:

Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 10am-1pm

If you'd like time to browse, ask advice or stock up on supplies for a project then appointments are available Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 1pm-3pm and should be booked HERE.

We still ask, where possible that you order in advance online and CLICK AND COLLECT, for a number of reasons:

To be able to maintain social distancing we will only allow 1 customer in the shop at a time, so by having your items ready means we reduce the need for people to wait and potentially having to queue on Castle Street.

By ordering online, in advance, you can ensure you have purchased the items you need, whilst items are listed on the website it may well be that they are sold out by the time you get to the shop, so this potentially saves a wasted journey.

If you need extra bits that aren’t listed online, we can add those when you come to collect and take contactless payment.

We are limited on time, and staff, at the moment so by ordering as much as you can in advance helps both you and us.

A few notes on visiting The Sewing Cafe:

  •  Please wait at the door until a member of staff invites you in.
  •  Please respect social distancing and maintain a 2m distance from both staff and fellow customers in the shop and if queueing.
  •  We will allow one customer in the shop at a time.
  •  We invite you to use hand sanitiser as you enter and leave the shop.
  •  Where possible please avoid over handling fabric or other items (which we appreciate is difficult in a fabric shop!)
  •  Where possible we’d appreciate you pay with card, ideally
contactless, if not we’d ask for the exact change.

Thank you for your continued support during this time. Becky & Fay x

DELIVERY

Please note orders are taking a little longer than usual to come out to you, orders are processed on a Tuesday and Friday, they tend to go in to Royal Mail the next day, due to their reduced opening hours, and we do know in some areas the postal system is taking a little longer than usual, so 2nd class (which is generally how all ’standard delivery’ items are sent) is taking up to 5-7 working days.

We're here at the end of email or message for any advice. You can send us your phone number and we can give you a call once you're in the shop.

So please, continue to pick our brains and shop online.

You can also keep up to date on facebook and instagram

We sell our fabrics in quarter metres

We sell our fabric in quarter metres, this means that if you’d like half a metre (50cm) then select ‘2’ in the quantity box, if you’d like ¾ of a metre (75cm) then select ‘3’ and if you’d like 1 metre select ‘4’ and so on…

If you select ‘1’ for either our Quilting or Crafting fabrics, then we’ll cut you a fat quarter which is 50cm deep x half the width of the fabric. If you’d like your fabric cutting in a long or thin quarter (25cm x full width of the fabric) then simply make a note in the comments box at the checkout.

If you select ‘1’ on a dressmaking then we’ll cut you a long or thin quarter, which will be 25cm deep x the width of the fabric.

If you have any questions or there is a specific amount of fabric you are after then call 01455 698034 or email hello@thesewingcafe.co.uk
